Red & White 826 (FWO 826) Pontypridd Berw Road D A Jones
Subject: Red & White 826 (FWO 626) Chassis: Albion Venturer CX19 Body: Welsh Metal Industries L31/26R Location: Pontypridd, Berw Road Date: c.1950
Red & White bought two batches of this chassis/body combination. This is from the earlier batch which had very angular bodies.
It was soon to be renumbered L148 in the year-based scheme unique to Red & White, meaning it was the first lowbridge double-decker from 1948.
It is standing outside The Bridge, a pub on the corner of Bridge Street and Berw Road that is long-demolished; this was the starting point for this service.
