1083 later became 40230 in the First Manchester fleet, having moved away from Oldham garage. It was a Volvo B6LE-53 with Wright Crusader bodywork and is seen at the Grotton Hotel on 27th July 1996 working through to the bus station at the Arndale in Manchester.
