Of the five Crossley-boodied PD2s only 409 passed to SELNEC as an operational vehicle. The costs of body overhaul to rectify corrosion had proved prohibitive. 410 had been started when the decision was made and was little more than a shell. 408/11/12 survived relatively intact but were gradually stripped of spare parts. 412 is seen dumped outside the garage in early SELNEC days - it went for scrap the following month.
