Subject: Primrose Valley, Filey GTV 57D

This coach was new to Skill’s of Nottingham as their 57 and was an AEC Reliance 2U3RA with a Plaxton C51F body. I have no date for this image but it is probable that it is working for Primrose Valley as they regularly supplied vehicles for the Scarborough/Filey services and this is at the right time for a journey back from the East Coast.

It certainly carries a Primrose Valley flag over the windscreen (it doesn’t refer to the plastic!) and their fleet number 152. The complication is that after they sold it in 1974 it passed to Senior of Shaw and therefore could still be seen regularly in Oldham.

It is passing the new Oldham Evening Chronicle offices which had only just been opened.
