The service to Ystrad Mynach and Blackwood started from Bridge Street, but 64 is set back from the stop and has actually reversed as far as is possible in front of Pontypridd Social Club.
This corner can still be recognised today and is at the edge of the bus station. The bridge under the railway is still there but only the running lines remain here now, the sidings having been replaced by a car park. The wagon visible is a BR-built plywood-sided van.
