The Daimler Fleetline was a very succesful chassis. Leyland continued production at Leyland when the Daimler factory closed and these vehicles were badged as Leyland Fleetlines. 8044 is one of GMT's later examples which were Leyland Fleetlines and is climbing past the Railway Hotel at Greenfield station on 10th May 1980 in what was a very ordinary scene at the time. This bus was one of many of the type withdrawn at deregulation due to the sudden reduction in vehicle requirements and went on to work for Yorkshire Rider in Halifax.
