Stop D was added in the spring of 1974 and replaced the rather inconvenient stop seen earlier that was on Oldham Road opposite Stop A. It is seen here on 29th June 1974, not long after it was put up, with a former Oldham PD2 descending the hill into Greenfield. At this time it was only served by the 180.
