Vehicle: Oldham 111 (BU 8866) and 112 (BU 8867)
Location: Lancashire Motor Traders yard?
Date: Dec-1949

Lancashire Motor Traders took a lot of Oldham's redundant buses in the period just after the war and managed to find new homes for many of them, often rebodying double-deck chassis with coach bodies to satisfy the booming demand as austerity receded. Of these two, 111 on the left was transformed by Barton into one of their BTS1 (see the photograph of BU 8864). 112 was less fortunate and was finally scrapped in April 1951.

At this time Lancashire Motor Traders were based in Altrincham, but they later moved into Oldham, off Manchester Road near the junction with Chamber Road.
