The small unstaffed halt at Skelmanthorpe, with the goods yard and connection to Emley Moor Colliery behind. The station once had buildings but lasted latterly in this form until it closed on 24th January 1983. The route is now used by the Kirklees Light Railway and there is once again a station here.
