Vehicle: SELNEC Southern 120 (LBU 120E)
Location: Oldham garage
Date: 25-Jul-1970

In contrast to the view of 119, 120 has already lost its coats-of-arms and received SELNEC legal lettering, but would not be re-numbered until the following March. This view shows well the unusual centre doors.

As this wasn't the normal place in the garage to park single-deckers, it is likely that it had a fault that was awaiting attention. Alternatively it may be parked for the attention of the tyre fitter, who occupied the enclosure in the back corner which is just visible. Oldham's fleet in 1968 was shared equally between Dunlop and Michelin tyres, with the exception of the single-deckers and PD2s 399-401, which were on Firestone. All would have been supplied on a mileage contract basis.
