Oldham 423 in the same location has already seen some years service, although it carries the lined-out livery in which it was delivered. The tin front has been replaced by Oldham's fibreglass version; this is an early example as the grille itself is flat. That was later changed to be slightly protruding (see photos elsewhere in the gallery), presumably to give additional rigidity.
