4008 is at the Market Place stop heading for Uppermill on 2nd July 1980. Despite the importance of this stop it was rarely photographed, particularly from this side of the road, and the result is a very evocative scene. We Saddleworth passengers were always made to feel important as the Market Place inspector had a small office which was attached to the shelter, both with the original shelter and the later one seen here.
