One of the relatively short-lived diversions saw buses for Clegg Street turning down Greaves Street and along Ashworth Street to the lower part of Clegg Street, which hadn't seen a bus service since the closure of the North Western bus station there in 1973. The bus station was directly behind where 40419 is seen.
