Body: Northern Counties H33/28R
Location: Oldham, King Street
Date: early 1960s

There were many churches around the Star Inn junction, that on the right being the King Street Presbyterian Church which was demolished in 1996. To the left was the Independent Methodist Church. Established in 1855, this building was opened on 19th May 1906. Demolition came in 1970 to make way for the by-pass and roundabout, but prior to that the decorative relief brickwork above the main window was replaced with plain.
