MV211954

Subject: Ashton C. T. 87 (YTE 826) and Manchester C. T. 1320 (ONE 720)
Chassis: BUT 9612T
Body: Bond H32/28R (YTE 826) and Burlingham H32/28R (ONE 720)
Location: Ashton's, St. Michael's Square
Date: c.1956

Both these trolleybuses were based on BUT 9612T chassis built at the former Crossley works in Erwood Park, Stockport. Ashton 87 has fortunately survived in preservation.

The "Bus Stage" sign visible between the two trolleybuses is of Manchester's style - it's rather surprising to find one in the middle of Ashton.
