Changes are taking place at the eastern end of the by-pass to accommodate the upgraded Prince Street, to become the new link road into the town centre. On the right can be seen the contractor’s diesel shunter, used for works trains during construction of the tramway up to Mumps. To the left the complex of Portakabins, on what is now the park and ride site at Mumps, was the site office for the town centre line.
