The Optare Solo has been part of the Oldham bus scene for many years. 40333 is a 2002-built example working for First Manchester on the 411 Oldham Circular.

It is negotiating road works associated with Metrolink construction and passing part of the Oldham Lyceum, this being the second building, built to match the first and opened in 1881 as a Science and Art school, replacing a single-storey building which had opened on the same site in 1865.
