This photograph appeared in the 1958/9 "Little Red Book" and is not credited to any photographer. It shows Hanson 349 (MVH 837) picking up at the Clegg Street stop used before the North Western bus station was built. 349 had a complicated history with Hanson involving three fleet numbers. New as 245 (DVH 312) a Duple-bodied AEC Regal III in 1948, it was rebuilt by Plaxton to full-front in 1953 and re-numbered 323. A final rebuild in 1957 saw it emerge as this Roe-bodied double-decker.
