Oldham 385 was but a few months old when waiting at the Lever Street terminus on 9th July 1955. The modern tin front contrasts with an elaborately-lined livery and semaphore indicators but the bus looks much more modern than the one in the previous photo, despite being taken less than a month later. These were Oldham's last buses new with semaphore indicators. The distinctive Daily Express building in the background was still in full production at this time.
