Subject: SELNEC Southern 379 (KBU 374)
Location: Oldham Mumps
Date: 8-Aug-1970

By 1970, despite a new sign over the window The Music Box is closed and the whole block is being prepared for demolition. The buildings beyond Albert Street have gone.

379 was one of the last buses to be painted in pommard and cream in February 1970 and is still in very tidy condition a matter of months later.

The 1 was the original tram route from Waterhead to Hollinwood and was just a short working of the 98. By this time it was only timetabled in the early morning and late evening - this must have been an extra working as it is on a Saturday afternoon.
