From the rear the Purdah glass used to moderate the strong sun found in Durban can be very clearly seen, with the small internal compartment at the rear being almost completely glazed with it. Note also the two bars on each opening window to prevent people leaning out - although the trolleybuses for Durban also ran with this feature it was not fitted when the photographs were taken.
