This rather odd photograph requires explanation. Final surfacing work was taking place on the new roundabout at Mumps and on this day the slip road from the roundabout to the town centre was being done, with buses having to go the wrong way round the island. All traffic from the town centre was being diverted via Wallshaw Place as can be seen in the background.
175 (although I'm not certain of its identity), being longer than most buses using the roundabout, couldn't get round in one go and ended up in this rather strange position as a result. A sister vehicle is seen in the background, almost certainly on the 153.
