Pontypridd’s first new double-decker was also the first Bristol double-decker with a Gardner 6LW engine and one of only five GO6Gs built. Its curvaceous body is enhanced by an attractive livery.
It is almost certainly working the Porth service and behind is a Rhondda contribution to the service. 124 was one of the Weymann-bodied AEC Regents purchased in 1933/4 for the final tram replacement. It was one of the first to be withdrawn, in 1947. After sale it was rebodied with a Longwell Green single-deck body and operated for Bristol Co-op.
