Former Oldham PD2/Northern Counties 459 descends Oldham Road in Grasscroft on 15th August 1970. I could always recognise this bus from a distance and it took a long time to work out why as the difference was very subtle! It was the position of the registration plate, which was immediately below the grille instead of being between the footsteps.
