Two Oldham buses are passing in the distance in this view of Mumps. The Oldham Hotel on the extreme left has been rebuilt with its new facade, whilst next to it is the Holt’s Yelloway Enquiry bureau. The facade is used to advertise the various services provided by Yelloway.
Just above the car at the left can be made out a school sign. This almost certainly referred to the original Beever Street School, but the location is odd as Beever Street is off the picture to the left.
