14 is on the other side of the promontory with Evans Bay in the background. The scenic nature of this trolleybus route is very evident here, the wires descending Te Anau Road which is just visible above the roof of the trolleybus.

Only when cleaning up the scan did I discover something very surprising in the background. In front of the boat in the bay is a Short S.45A Solent Mk. IV flying boat taking off for Sydney on a service operated by Tasman Empire Airways Limited. This service only operated from 1950 to 1954.
