Porthcawl was a less-common summer destination for Pontypridd buses and brought them into close contact with other AEC Regent Vs from the South Wales fleet. These can be seen in the background but one of the vehicles is an AEC Bridgemaster.

To the right is the short artifical tunnel that also served as the stock shed for the Porthcawl Miniature Railway, which closed in 1986.
