Subject: Bradford C. T. 843 (FWX 913)
Chassis: Sunbeam F4
Body: East Lancs H37/29F
Location: Bradford, Little Horton Lane
Date: 18-Apr-1971

A lovely composition featuring 843 on its way to Buttershaw set against the magnificent All Saints Church, whilst St. Luke's Hospital is on the right.

On the left is a Rover P5 2000TC, waiting to pull out of Horton Park Avenue. Until 1969 trolleybus wiring had run down that road for use by special services in connection with sports events at the football and cricket grounds.

The Great Northern line to Queensbury and beyond passed under the road here in the oddly-named Manchester Road tunnel (which didn't pass under that road!), emerging in a cutting just off-camera to the left.

From an original negative in the David Beilby collection, from the collection of D. Butterfield and G. Butland
