The bus entered service in January 1948 so it is quite probable the photograph was taken in 1947.
If you look at the legend added to the photograph by Burlingham it seems someone couldn’t count, as this was a batch of ten vehicles and the bus seen here was the last and so its body number is not on the range listed on the image.
