This was the first day of operation of the 353 by Universal Buses, 1st March 1998. I suspect their new vehicles had not arrived in time and as a result Bu-Val provided this Iveco with Mellor bodywork. Ironically as it turned out since Bu-Val later operated the 353 in their own right. The bus has arrived at the traffic lights at the top of Stamford Road in Mossley.
