As explained in the history the service used to descend the hill at Greenfield station and then head on to the Clarence before turning and returning through the village bound for Uppermill. On 18th April 1981 GMT National 109 is seen doing just that and comparison with the previous shot reveals that it is going the opposite way at this junction.
