A visitor to one of the open days we held at the collection of preserved vehicles at Heybottom Mill was this Burnley, Colne and Nelson Leyland Tiger PS2/14 45 (CHG 545). Originally built with a rear entrance it was later rebuilt as seen here for one-man operation. Due to slight confusion the driver ended up the other side of the river from the mill but decided it was best to park it there rather than try to get the bus nearer.
Behind the bus is the factory of LTE Scientific (known more affectionately as Lab Thermal), still there but not so readily visible today as the premises of the Tame Valley Squash and Tennis Club have since blocked the view. Waters Edge, a small private development, now goes off about where the back of the bus is.
