43 is largely in original condition here, still carrying the livery with cream bands and retaining the valances over the side windows. The only change from as new condition is the fleet number, no longer in a circle which had been a distinctive feature of Caerphilly's buses.

It is waiting to depart from Pontypridd, next to an off-licence that looks particularly tempting. The passenger upstairs seems to be wrestling with a newspaper - no tabloids then!
