This gallery came about through the realisation that I had a worthwhile collection of material relating to the trolleybus systems of Manchester and Ashton. Whilst I have tried to present material in a historical context this is by no means a complete historical survey as I have no material at all relating to the earlier trolleybus routes to be abandoned. These include the Moston services, the Corporation Street to Greenheys service and the Ashton to Haughton Green service.

Some of the material is of indifferent quality. These are mainly the Instamatic views I processed for another pupil at school and ended up retaining the negatives. These were some of the first negatives I processed and that has not helped either!

However, some of the material here is new and in some cases quite unusual. If the opportunity arises in the future to expand the gallery, I will, but all currently available material has been used.
