On 3rd July 1980 Oldham Road was closed and buses were diverted at Hollinwood down Wicken Tree Lane and then along Wrigley Head to join Oldham Road again at Failsworth Pole. The cones are there to keep the road clear for the unaccustomed level of traffic.
