This coach was new to Shaw Bros., Byers Green who were taken over by United in 1975, after which it was very quickly transferred to East Yorkshire with whom it is seen here.
It was one of four prototype Panorama Elite Express bodies that were delivered to enter service on August 1st 1970, featuring a door that made the vehicle eligible for a bus grant. All four went to independents in the North-East.
Poor old 241 had a less-than-glorious end, serving as a waiting room for two years before disposal in 1985.
