By the time of this photograph the chassis had given twenty years’ service to North Western. It would survive until the end of the following summer. It had originally been ordered by Majestic Express Motors but came to North Western following the joint purchase (with Midland Red) of that company and its Manchester to London service.

Originally numbered 720 and carrying a Harrington body, it received a new Windover body and was numbered 384 in 1950.
