66 was one of three Bristol Ls bought from Bristol Tramways in August 1952. These had dual entrances but only the rear entrance was used in Pontypridd. Their purchase allowed the disposal of some of the venerable Bristol B types which had given over twenty years service. For some reason they received a pre-war style of livery with an ivory waistband and roof - it is believed they were painted at Bristol and an old photograph may have been used.
Waiting to leave for Maesycoed, 66 is on Taff Street opposite the YMCA.
