This would not normally be considered a good bus photograph but I think its unusual composition has really captured the atmosphere of Taff Street on a Saturday with crowds of people waiting for buses after shopping.

39 is on an extra on the Porth service and is being overtaken by “unfrozen” K5G 18 which, from what I can make out of the blind, would appear to be working the trolleybus service which was still operational at the time of this photo.

The Rhondda bus on the left may be waiting to reverse onto its stand, which must have been a fraught manoeuvre when it was this busy.
