This absolutely delightful shot of the forecourt of the Commercial Hotel dates from June 3rd 1963, which was Whit Monday. There is so much atmosphere in this shot you should just wander round and enjoy it without me adding any detail.

To the left is North Western 719 working either a 157 to Diggle or a 158 to Carrcote (or possibly a 156).
