NESA was "Nordsjællands Elektricitets- og Sporvejs Aktieselskab" (which translates to the North Zealand Electric and Tramway Company) and they operated a private trolleybus system alongside the municipal trams, buses and trolleybuses of Copenhagen.
The photograph shows one of the batch of twenty BUTs with English Electric equipment and was taken to illustrate the launch of the 27 trolleybus service which was inaugurated on 18-Aug-1953 and ran from Hans Knudsens Plads to Vangede.
