The 803 was an odd service at the time of this photograph as it only worked in one direction (in the afternoon), the morning working being a 344. The latter has since been duplicated from Lees by a morning 803. Both the 344 and the 803 run for the benefit of pupils at Mossley Hollins School and provide a link from and to top Mossley, Grotton and Lees (the 344 being renumbered 340 in April 2016).
