It may not be immediately obvious why this photo is in this collection, but I have concluded that it must be an evening 180 running to Oldham with the number blinds in the process of being set to something else for its next working. 4598 was a Daimler Fleetline new to Manchester and a most surprising bus to find working from Oldham garage as late as 1981.
