This is a copy of a view that appeared in a Dick, Kerr catalogue in 1896 and shows the terminus of the line at the bottom of Victoria Street, with the Jubilee Clock in the background. Dick, Kerr had been the main contractor for the construction of the line.

As can be seen, the tracks of the cable tramway were connected with those of the horse tramway along the Promenade and presumably the cable slot was extended to allow cable trams to be more easily moved onto the horse tramway, although they would not normally operate on that section. Both lines were under the same ownership, even before they were taken over by Douglas Corporation in 1902.
