Showing the unexpected variety of buses that could be found in various places in the early years of the PTE is this scene in Lever Street, where a departure to Uppermill on the 183 is worked by this former Rochdale Regent whilst the 180 behind is worked a Crossley-bodied PD2 that was originally in the Stockport fleet.

6216 was one of the batch that had AEC engines and Monocontrol transmission. It is showing the OM (Oldham) depot allocation sticker. These stickers were introduced in 1974 although it took some time for the whole fleet to be done. These Regents were very much non-standard vehicles and only stayed at Oldham for a few months.
