This date was not only the last day of operation of the Clayton route, but also the last day of BUT trolleybus operation in the UK. Here two of the last examples are seen at Pasture Lane loop. 833 has come from Clayton whilst 834, which has just turned at the loop, was to be the last trolleybus to Clayton that evening.
