Subject: Bradford C. T. 706 (DKY 706)
Chassis: Karrier W
Body: East Lancs H37/29F
Location: Girlington, Thornton Road
Date: 25-Mar-1972

706 passes Four Lane Ends whilst working Tour 3. This location was more commonly photographed at the end of the tours when trolleybuses would turn here to return to Thornbury depot.

The photograph illustrates well how the junction in the wiring was set back from the junction, allowing trolleybuses for Allerton (until they finished) and those returning to the depot to halt at the bus stop whilst the conductor pulled the frog.

The frog for this junction had been power-operated but following a most tragic accident here on 11th August 1970 it was converted (along with the other remaining one at Princes' Way) to manual operation as a precaution.
