I openly admit this is not one of my best shots, but including it costs nothing!

The post to the left was one of a pair which supported an arched "Lane Ends Hotel" sign, the other being off-camera to the right. The short one in the middle had an extension to reach the centre of the sign.

The box next to the traction pole is, I suspect, part of the feeder arrangements here. However I have been unable to find photographs showing how (and what) it connected. It wasn't there before the roundabout was constructed here.
