Subject: National Welsh 62 (D387 OOX)
Chassis: Freight Rover Sherpa 374
Body: Carlyle (on Dormobile shell) B18F
Location: Pontypridd bus station
Date: c.Apr-1989

D387 OOX was built as a Carlyle hire vehicle but as far as I am aware it came straight to National Welsh and remained there. Initially on hire it was purchased and repainted after just a few months. For some reason it was initially numbered 63 before becoming 62 when the first of a new batch of eleven Sherpas arrived in May-1987, 63 (D63 OKG).

Although working the Ynysybwl service here it must have moved from Aberdare later as it was one of the vehicles transferred to Red & White when part of National Welsh was sold off in 1991 and was later numbered 73 by them.
