Following the hire of two Midland Red (North) Ford Transits, National Welsh hired two Sherpas from Crosville. These were MRS 728/753 (D728/753 PTU) which operated briefly before being, in turn, replaced by two from the Carlyle hire fleet which eventually joined the National Welsh fleet as 60/61.

Both the Crosville examples are seen here working to Ynysybwl in a plain white livery. They would go on to receive Mini Lynx branding with Crosville.
